Advanced endoscopy & HPB surgery

Liver Surgery

Resection-focused management of primary and secondary liver tumours and selected complex hepatobiliary disease.

Resection planning

Successful liver surgery requires more than identifying a removable lesion. Planning assesses tumour distribution, vascular and biliary anatomy, underlying liver quality and the volume and function of liver expected to remain after resection.

Oncological integration

For malignant disease, surgery is considered alongside systemic therapy and other liver-directed options. The appropriate sequence depends on the cancer type and extent of disease.

Approximate annual activity

>30 liver resections per year. This is an estimate of current annual clinical practice and varies from year to year.
